World Of Wheels in Illinois 2004

Here is the display I was building for the 2004 World of Wheels Car Show in Chicago. The two projects I had on display were the GT40 Rock Crawler and the High Powered D. This event is a great place to show these kinds of projects off since there is a great majority of people coming to this show to see custom built cars and trucks, not your average car show crowd. A lot of people recognized the GT40 RC from the Monster Garage show, which was fun. The GT40 RC took home a surprise second place (amazing for a vehicle that was built in only 4 days) in the custom 4x4 class. Most of the other 4x4's had months of work in them.

The High Powered D. was a great success at the show as well. The World of Wheels models took a liking to the car, as each one stopped by to get a picture in the passenger seat. They are always welcome back. :) The Grand National powered DeLorean took home Best in Class in the consolidated sports car class, which I was very pleased with. Overall it was a great time at the show and everyone had a fun time checking out the projects.
